Michaelina Wears Miss UCC Crown

A twenty-year old Bachelor of Education Arts Level-100 student of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Miss Michealina Addo-Okyireh, was adjudged the winner of "Miss UCC" 2004 last Saturday. She beat a line-up of eleven contestants presented for the competition and took home a Pentium 4 computer, a DVD Player, assorted cosmetics and two nights stay at the Elmina Beach Resort.

Miss Yvonne Hayfron, also a level-100 Bsc Physical Science student, was adjudged the first runner-up while Golda Sackey, a level-200 B.A. Social Science student, took the second runner-up position.

Miss Hayfron took home a Pentium 4 computer, assorted cosmetics and a night stay at Mabel Guest House while Miss Sackey who was also adjudged Miss Eloquence had a mobile phone.

Miss Addo-Okyireh in an interview with Weekend Heritage said her next line of action is to take part in the "Miss Intercollegiate" and "Miss Malaika" pageants.

She envisioned taking up the mantle to spread the message of HIV/AIDS pandemic within the university and all secondary schools in the Central Region.
