A memorial musical concert held in Woodbridge Virginia on Saturday, January 21st commemorated the life of the late Minister Danny Nettey, one of the pioneers of Contemporary Gospel music in Ghana who died in July 2016 in Ghana.

Minister Danny Nettey was an inspiration to many Ghanaian musicians across the globe and he touched the lives of many gospel music lovers at all levels in society.

When the news of his death was announced his fans poured their hearts out in tributes all over social media and in various churches.

On Saturday, January 21st, musicians and ministers of God in the United States honoured Minister Danny Nettey with a memorial Concert at the Ghana Wesley United Methodist Church Sanctuary in Woodbridge, Virginia.

Friends of Danny Nettey in the United States were instrumental in organising the memorial musical concert which kicked off at 8 p.m on Saturday evening with nostalgic memories of the departed brother and inspirer. The atmosphere was ignited with high praise and worship during ministrations by various musicians took turns to sing in Danny’s memory and also recall some special moments with him.

There were special performances by Maame Afon, Rev. Denzel Agyeman-Prempeh, Rev. Samuel Nelson, Rev. Emmanuel Nickson, Rev. Clarence D Roberts, Lady D, Rev. Joe Asmah of All Nations Church in New Jersey and many others.

Apostle Dr. Ahia-Armah exalted the gathering with a short message encouraging them to lead exemplary lives.

The ministers in attendance included. Rev. Muriel Vanderpuye, Rev. John Sarsah, Rev. Emmanuel Nickson, Apostle and Rev. Mrs. Ahia-Armah, Rev & Mrs. Samuel Asare, Rev Eric Botchway, Rev Harry Agyeman and many others.

The atmosphere was an indication that even though Danny died in Ghana his memory and good works will forever be appreciated in the hearts of all gospel music lovers all over the world.

Danny, a well-travelled master performer had three albums to his credit and has shared the stage with the likes of Bishop T. D. Jakes, Don Moen, Ron Winans, Bebe Winans, Ron Kenoly, Kirk Franklin
