The Minister for Tourism, Creative Arts and Culture, Catherine Afeku, has waded into the recent media fracas between dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy and his record label, Zylofon Media.
According to the Minister, she doesn’t see anything wrong with the current tussle between the two parties, but rather a healthy industry competition.
Stonebwoy and his crew were reportedly attacked on Saturday by some workers of Zylofon Media, led by Bulldog.
Reports say Bulldog and his men led the attack on Stonebwoy and his management after the artiste demanded organizers of 'Hilla Limann Night' concert to pull down all Zylofon branded materials before he performs on stage.
This was said to have led to a serious scuffle, which Stonebwoy fired warning shots in self-defense.
Though the CEO of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah has calmed tempers down after the fierce attack. The Tourism Minster speaking on Joy News, on Friday did not condemn the two parties over the incident.
“I’ve been out of the Accra media brouhaha; I was in the village because of the elections for the constituencies, so I haven’t really followed. I only picked snippets of Bulldog and Stonebwoy so that was just a flash and nothing more,” she said.
Catherine Afeku added that, "its healthy competition so I don’t think it’s beyond the fraternity to resolve".
