Inspirational Gospel diva of 'Kyere Me Kwan' fame Emilia Arthur has officially been made the ambassador for Made-In-Ghana products by the ministry of Trade and Industry.
After breaking through with her maiden album titled Kyere Me Kwan, Emelia’s hard working efforts has caught the eyes of the Trade and Industry Ministry and as such the ministry has rewarded her efforts by making her the Ambassador of Made-In-Ghana Campaign.
On the 12th of January, 2016, a letter signed by the minister Hon. Dr Ekow Spio Garbrah stated “the ministry is embarking on various drives to stimulate the patronage and consumption of Made-In-Ghana products.
The campaign is being run by the MIG Steering Committee that compromises professionals from government agencies, communication professionals and trade and Industry practitioners, among others.”
The letter continued to read that the MIG Steering committee was inaugurated by President John Mahama in December, 2014 and the programme was officially launched on 23rd November, 2015.
“The ministry would like to select you as a Made-In-Ghana Campaign Ambassador to partner this initiative. Your selection is in recoemelia arthur (2)gnition of your stature and achievements in society,” the minister elaborated.
According to Spio Garbrah, Emelia’s role would include creating awareness on Made-In-Ghana goods and services on her various platforms, serving as a role model for the campaign and participating in events related with her new role.
“We look forward to working with you to grow the Ghanaian economy,” the letter concludes. After the minister’s words, Flex newspaper squeezed a response from Mrs. Arthur and she revealed that she was very elated the ministry has noticed her efforts and backing her to push on with the campaign she started some two years back.
