Ghana’s Rebecca Asamoah will be returning home two weeks after she was crowned Miss Africa Continent in Johannesburg.
The 24-year-old dental hygienist beat 11 finalists drawn from an original list of 40 contestants from across the continent in the inaugural pageant at Johannesburg’s Gold Reef City casino on Saturday night, April 30. She made history as the first woman to be crowned Miss Africa Continent.
Runner-up was Michelo Malambo of Zambia, while South Africa’s Jemimah Kandimiri was placed third.
She will arrive in Ghana on Wednesday May 11 at 11:35am on Emirates.
