Miss Buy Ghana is an initiative under the auspices of A2Z Firm Movement (an NGO) in conjunction with The Ministry of Trade & Industry, The Ministry of Information & Media Relation, The Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Creative Art, AGI, GNPA and GCCI, to promote the need for Ghanaians to appreciate what’s made in Ghana and in that same vein buy them.
The concept is to promote made in Ghana products and as well use models in various works of life in pushing this idea. Upcoming events include auditions, exhibitions and pageantry.
To start with, audition is free and will take place at the Ghana Trade Fair Center, Accra, on the 21st and the 22nd in June and the time is 10am to 6pm each day. Weight and height are not considered. Age 18+. Audition will be a search for twenty contestants in all, two from each region.
After auditions the next activity is an exhibition at the Ghana trade fair center in the month of July to August, housing of the contestants for two weeks and industrial tour within the same month. This is where the public shall buy to support a contestant.
In this case, coupons are given to buyers to fill and submit at the same venue. The third phase is the final which is in the month of August and it is strictly by invitation. This is where we discover who wears the crown for the maiden edition of Miss Buy Ghana 2013.
