Miss Ghana Tourism USA 2016 winner Paulina Clark who represented the Greater Accra region of Ghana will give up her crown to a new queen when the 2017 edition of the pageant takes place come Friday, December 1, 2017, in the state of Virginia USA.

According to officials of the event, the city of Springfield in the state of Virginia will this time host the 3rd edition at 6520 Amherst Avenue. The pageant is scheduled to begin at 6 PM and run through 11 PM Eastern Standard Time.

“Ghanaian descendant women aged from 18 to 25 that are passionate about the history and culture go Ghana and are desirous of promoting the country as a choice tourism and investment destination are encouraged to participate in the 2017 edition”, said Kwame Boakye Danquah, Founder of the event.

Kwame is an entrepreneur known in the Ghanaian and African Community in the USA for his passion for promoting Ghana’s tourism potential and actively engaging with the community on matters that positively project the African agenda in the Diaspora.

In an interview with TheAfricanDream.net Kwame said, “since the very first edition of Miss Ghana Tourism USA in October 2015 where Miss Whitney Osei became the first ever winner we have watched the event grow in participation. I am very excited for the 2017 show and can assure you that we plan to outdo ourselves by making things even better than the last ones.”

Steve Bedi; Ghanaian award-winning Jazz Saxophonist and UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador at Ghana Protect the Goal Campaign will be on hand to provide entertainment with his Saxophone. Steve who has become a constant feature at the event will this year be joined by fellow Ghanaian musician Nero X who is also a composer, to thrill the audience.

This international pageant which seeks to endorse the beauty of contestants from various parts of Ghana and their efforts to sell authentic Ghanaian traditions, ideals, and cultures, is open to every woman with Ghanaian heritage in the USA that meets qualification standards.
