Miss Malaika finals on November 1

The final event of this year’s edition of the Miss Malaika beauty pageant will take place on Saturday, November 1 at the National Theatre in Accra, Charter House, the organisers of the event, have announced.

It would be a night of beauty, intelligence and music, a night where 10 young ladies would compete for the ultimate Miss Malaika 2014 crown.

The grand finale promises to be fun-packed and a night of surprises because all the contestants would be involved in various tasks to prove themselves worthy to be crowned Miss Malaika.

An important decision would be made at the event of the event, where the judges would crucially assess the performances of all the 10 contestants, collate results and pass judgment accordingly.

The 10 contestants billed for the final event are Akua Akuffo, 21-year- old second year student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ), Stephanie Poku Agyeman, a final year Economics student of Central University, Anita Osei, 21-year-old Law student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Eirene Nsudoon Binabibi, a student of the University of Ghana, Legon and Ann Kathleen Annan, a 19-year-old student of the University of Ghana, Legon.

The rest are Cynthia Osei, 19-year-old student of the Ghana Technology University, Ivy Baffuor-Gyan, 21, a level 400 student of the University of Ghana, Legon studying Finance, Wilhelmina Buadie Kwofie, 20-year-old student of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and Joyce Mamle Ayeh, 19.

This year’s event would witness live performances from seasoned music icons like Edem, Mzvee, among others.

The Miss Malaika 2014 pageant started with over 500 contestants, and the number was pruned down and 16 contestants found themselves in the Malaika House. The number was again scaled down and eventually, 10 young ladies remain to vie for the crown.
