After the success of the maiden edition of the Miss Tourism Ghana UK beauty pageant in 2012 in Luton, United Kingdom, organisers of the pageant, the Miss Tourism Ghana UK Organisation (MTGUK) have announced Saturday, August 15, 2014 as the date for the second edition of the pageant.

Scheduled to take place at the Teraza Joanne (King George V Dock, Woolwich Manor Way) in London, the event would be the appropriate platform where great musical performances would meet outstanding beauty, as 10 beautiful ladies of Ghanaian descent battle it out for the most coveted crown, Miss Tourism Ghana UK 2014.

A crack group of Ghanaian and UK-based artistes have been confirmed to perform on the night with UK’s finest Afrobeat musician, Mista Silva, leading the UK group of artistes. Performers from Ghana would include Nino, who would for the first time be performing Nessun Dorma in the UK, and the dancehall sensation, Luther.

Attendants on the night are assured of a smooth show with Vox Africa’s Kwaku Owuraku Frimpong and Nana Churcher of the Nana Churcher Show as host and hostess with the current wonder boy, Afro B DJ Invisible behind the turntables. You can expect nothing but the best of entertainment on the night!

Commenting on this year’s event, Ms Maria Lovell, the Chief Executive Officer of the Miss Tourism Ghana UK Organisation said, “This year’s event promises to be bigger and better with a few add-ons to make this year’s edition more exciting with the competition amongst the contestants getting keener. It’s going to be a night where the true Ghanaian culture will be on display.”

The Miss Tourism Ghana UK Pageant is a brand dedicated to promoting Ghana and its various tourist sights to the rest of the world as well as giving the contestants the opportunity to know more about their culture and build their capacities for their future endeavors.

The pageant is endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Ghana, the Ghana High Commission To United Kingdom and Ireland, Ghana Tourism Authority, Ghana Tourism Federation and Miss Tourism Ghana.
