Miss Universe Ghana 2013, Hanniel Jamin left Ghana yesterday Tuesday, October 22 to Moscow, Russia, where the Miss Universe World event will be taking place.
Her departure puts to rest stories in the media that, her runner-up would be replacing her at the world event when she complained about the unfair treatment by the organizers of the pageant; Roberta Annan Consulting (RAC LLC).
Interacting with journalists at the Kotoka International Airport before embarking on the trip to Moscow to represent the country, she apologized on behalf of the organisers; local franchise holders of the pageant and on her own behalf.
"First and foremost ... on behalf of RAC and Miss Universe Ghana, we want to apologize for all that, and we want to say that, right now, I'm the one going to Russia. I'm Miss Universe Ghana, Hanniel Jamin, going to Russia and not going as a runner up. So right now, we are all in a clear state of mind," excited Jamin said beaming with smiles.
According to Roberta Annan, the local organizer, her company had given Miss Jamin all the prizes promised her. She even showed signed documents to confirm they had played their part as organisers.
"That's personal, I cannot answer that" was Hanniel Jamin's answer when asked if she had received her prizes as confirmed by the organisers. Her answer sort to give the impression that, she has not received everything promised her, but her countenance showed a queen who is content.
She, however, feels "very excited to be going to Miss Universe [World] competition to compete, at the same time I know that definitely when I get there I will make Ghana proud by bringing the crown back to Ghana by the special Grace of God. And Ghana please vote for me, I also need your prayers and all your support."
The 62nd edition of the Miss Universe pageant will be taking place in Russia for the first time at Crocus City Hall in Russia on November 9. The show is divided into two stages: November 5-Preliminary Show and November 9-Final.
