Come next year, some Ghanaian girls will be sponsored by Instagram model and actress, Moesha Boduong to acquire professional skills in trade to enable them become entrepreneurs.

The girls are expected to be trained in hairdressing and makeup artistry which will be financed by the Moesha Foundation.

Moesha Boduong made these known in a recent interview monitored by newswiregh

According to the actress, the foundation will be launched in line with her birthday in March 2019.

The girls will be selected following the launch of the Moesha Foundation and be trained by professionals.

“I’m going to be sponsoring like ten people on trade like how to do hair and makeup. I’m still working on it so when it’s finally ready, I’ll put it out there to select the girls. I’m going to launch it next year after my birthday,” she revealed.

Moesha Boduong became the subject of criticism following an interview she granted on CNN about Ghanaian women and the economy.

She told CNN’s Christine Amanpour that Ghana’s economy is so bad that women in the country needed to depend on wealthy men to survive.

“In Ghana our economy is such a way that you need someone to take care of you. You can’t make enough money as a woman here. Because even when you want to get an apartment, in Ghana they take two years’ advance and I just started working where will I get money to pay?” she said.

The controversial interview exposed the actress to public ridicule and insults which made her feared returning to Ghana after her comments to the international media.

The launch of her foundation seems to be a way to compensate Ghanaians, particularly the women as she is billed to empower the girls to become independent.
