BET Award winning performer, Stonebwoy and Books for Boots will on Saturday organize the biggest soccer and education event to hit Ashaiman.
The event themed "Drying tears, Healing wounds” is geared towards consoling the children of Ashaiman and its environs after the catastrophic June 3 flood that hit Accra.
Saturday will mark 61 days after parts of Ashaiman were severely affected, Books and Boots will use the event to buck up the children of Ashaiman.
Reading Coaches from various backgrounds will be in attendance including Ex- Black Stars skipper, Stephen Appiah, Miss Tourism Ghana (2014), Belvy Naa Teidy Ofori, Kalybos, Ecstasy and many more.
Kids will be encouraged to read in groups and also read alone when they are home and will be rewarded with books, footballs, t-shirts and jerseys.
The event has brought many partners together including Ghana Volunteers Brigade, One Ghana, Rotary Club of Airport, AllSports and Active Minds Reading Club.
Meanwhile, following the sudden death of his mother after a short illness, Stonebwoy has confirmed that he will attend and read to the children as promised. "This is what my Mama would have wanted" according to the young star.
