During Delay’s interview with Charlie Dior, she sought convincing reasons for the socialite’s choice to wear women’s clothing but did not receive any satisfactory answers.

Instead, Charlie Dior kept saying that he does not conform to societal standards or Ghanaian norms.

Delay questioned him, “Society expects men to dress in a certain way and not just wear women’s clothes. So why do you dress this way?”

Charlie responded, “But I don’t do society.”

As the conversation grew intense, Delay, noting that Charlie Dior’s responses lacked substance, said he should move out of the country and never return if he cannot adhere to its norms.

Here’s what ensued between Charlie Dior and the 'Delay Show' host, Deloris Frimpong Manso:

Delay: “If you don’t conform to society, then move out of it. Don’t come to Ghana. This country belongs to us, and there are certain things we don’t encourage. If you can’t conform, pack your things and leave.”

Charlie: “I was born in Ghana. If people are uncomfortable, they should move. Why should people think they have the privilege to live in Ghana while I don’t?”

Delay further stated that Charlie Dior’s refusal to respect the country’s norms is what has contributed to the hate against him.

She mentioned an incident at the Ridge Condos All-Black Party, where a certain man appeared ready to assault Charlie Dior.

Delay: “At the All-Black Party, there was a guy who held a fist, if he had the opportunity, he would’ve punched you to death”.

Charlie: “He should have tried it. There are laws in this country, and he would have ended up in jail.”
