Investigation conducted by Beatwaves reveals that a section of the national executive of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is holding meetings behind closed doors to kick Nana Kwame Ampadu I, the General Secretary, out of the union.
One of the executives confronted Nana Ampadu a couple of weeks ago warning him to disassociate himself from a group calling itself Concerned Members of COSGA, or have a ‘vote of no confidence’ passed on him.
The concerned group recently called for a probe into the activities of the Copyright Society of Ghana (COSGA) through a petition to the Attorney General and Minister of Justice.
The group, which is not satisfied with the activities of the board members of COSGA is working tirelessly to form a new society.
The investigation further revealed that Nana’s problem with some of the executives of the union did not only stem from his association with the Concerned Members of COSGA, but for the fact that he declared his support for Nana Akufo-Addo, the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and started campaigning for him.
