Veteran actor Kofi Adjorlolo has revealed that the majority of scripts he gets from movie producers lately are sub-standard, bemoaning emerging producers are not doing well enough.
In an interview with Giovani Caleb on 3FM Drive on Wednesday, Mr. Adjorlolo said the reason he has temporarily been out of the limelight has to do with the scripts that come his way.
“‘…the scripts are not good enough, I will confess. Most of the scripts we get nowadays from producers, I will describe them as trash,” he replied when Giovani asked what accounted for his seeming dormancy in the industry.
He further explained that story lines and scripts used to be good but not anymore.
He disclosed, however, that he is out and about working on other projects, noting “if you don’t work, you would be forgotten”.
“I have not been forgotten at all in the movie industry even if others have been forgotten.”
The latest project, he disclosed, is a movie titled ‘A Husband for Daddy’ produced by Shirley Frimpong Manso. The movies stars him and James Gardiner, who was also on the show on 3FM.
He said the project promises to take the Ghanaian movie industry by storm because it is “a huge and good production”.
Giving a bit more detail about it, Mr. Ajorlolo said the production for the movie has been going on for two years “because it is meant to have the professional touch and an international appeal”.
