Manager of Vybrant Faya, Mr Logic has stated that the dancehall artiste met his untimely death while returning from a meeting.
According to him, there were managerial issues which the ‘Mampi’hit maker sought to resolve before releasing a single he had recorded.
Mr Logic told KMJ on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Monday that the family of Vybrant Faya had to come in to help with management and the record label to resolve their differences.
He (Mr Logic) could not make it to the meeting because he was not feeling well.
“For the past week, there have been a whole lot of issues with Vybrant Faya and his management. He was in the process of solving it… The label SMF is different from his management by contract from day one; before the ‘Mampi’ song was released. He has a management and an executive label. Anything about Vybrant Faya, both parties should agree,” he noted.
“They were done with the meeting. He had gotten to the Accra Mall and was stepping to cross the road. Unfortunately, a motorbike with a high speed knocked him,” he added.
Touching on their last moment, My Logic said they had planned on a comeback and were hoping that they succeed.
“The last thing he said to me was that he can’t wait to get his career back on line and I told him he shouldn’t worry, he will make it. He is Emmanuel; I’m also Emmanuel so I see him as my little brother than an artiste… Vybrant Faya was a loyal youth,” he said.
Vybrant Faya died on Sunday, October 24, 2016.
