Benjamin Ango also known as Mr Parka in the Ghana Music Industry was born in Takoradi into an awesome family with his parents being Mr George Ango and Marian Neizer.
His love for music started at the tender age of 15 where he released a track called ‘Wonders’, which was produced by B4 in a small studio in his home at community 7 Tema.
The response from people around for the track by a 15 year old was very encouraging which made him fall in love with having music as his side career.
Also at that tender age Parka and his friends use to all the time mimic to Ghanaian artiste like Reggie Rocks Stone and foreign artiste like Slim Shady, DMX and others back in the days.
Being the first born of a family of 5 siblings he also sets the big brother example for his siblings by being a role model.
It is assumed in the Ghana Music Industry that being a musician is as a result of being out of school but this notion was proven wrong with the likes of Obour and others who are into music even though they are University graduates.
Mr Parka is no exception since after his primary and secondary education he proceeded to the Koforidua Nursing training College where he graduated as a nurse and is now working as a surgical nurse at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu in The Central Region of Ghana.
The love to join the music industry at this time in Mr. Parka’s life is due to the fact that people around him believed in him and his music and also the fact that he is now ready to help bring the name of Ghana higher on the music entertainment industry in the world, as Ghana is getting popular and popular by the day with the birth of the Azonto dance which makes Ghana music accepted in all parts of the world on the globe now.
Mr. Parka has featured famous Ghanaian musicians like Atumpan, Guru, Danso Abiam, and others on his tracks. His Latest track Ekume Ekume which features Guru was launched on Jeremy’s show - the Y Lounge on Y fm where Dj Kess introduced the song which has the Azonto feel to the Ghanaian market, which is now making airwaves on radio stations like Yfm Ghana, Pravda Radio, Sena Radio, Hit Fm, Pluz Fm, Yfm Takoradi, and several radio stations Across the country.
Other popular track by Mr. Parka is also the ‘One in a Million’ track which was also used on the people’s choice programme on the Yfm’s Drive Show by Joel where he had the whole of Ghana pushing the track through by voting and calling to support the track so it could stay in the Ghana classic collection. Out of 10 callers 9 pushed the track which saw Mr. Parka performing at former Cinderella’s Night Club on the 23rd of July now know as Club 11.
One other track that is making Mr. Parka the famous upcoming musician in the industry is his Dami Duro mixtape called “Free Your Mind’, which is doing very well on the music market.
There is no doubt Mr. Parka is one of the freshest guys in the Ghana music industry now since he is always very fresh and makes himself attractive for the Ghana music market and beyond image wise.
