Musician and radio presenter, Abubakar Ahmed also known as Blakk Rasta has broken his silence on how Multimedia Group Limited entrusted his life in a student lawyer over a ‘wee’ allegation he made about Members of Parliament.
He was dragged before the Privileges Committee of Parliament after he claimed that about 80% of MPs used marijuana (wee).
He attended the hearing with his senior staff at Multimedia Limited, and a counsel provided him by his employers.
“I was no longer inspired to work for Multimedia because they entrusted my whole life in a mere student lawyer. Perhaps his demeanour would have caused me in jail.”
According to him, the student lawyer was amateur to handle the crucial case, which could have landed him in jail and as a result, he had to arrange for his personal lawyer.
He noted that Multimedia never sought his interest as far as that invitation to Parliament was concerned.
Speaking on Radio Gold, Blakk Rasta said his resignation was self motivated adding that he was directed by the ‘Holy spirit’ to leave the station.
He said he was advised by his Boss to stay over till the end of the month, but he went against that counsel saying he would have incurred more court cases for the station.
“My Boss pleaded with me to stay on till the end of the month so they can get a replacement but I kindly told him am no more inspired to work for the station and if I did I would attract more court cases for Hitz FM.” The controversial presenter disclosed that he would soon return to radio, adding that he will be ‘hotter than fire’.
“Most of my fans do not have an interest in Reggae stuff on radio because their Messiah (Blakk Rasta) is no more on radio but I can assure them that my comeback will be hotter than fire.”
