Knowing the potential of TV3’s Music Music and what it has done in the past for artistes who now top charts, several underground artistes thronged the Datus Park at Kasoa Friday evening to try their luck on making it for the opening acts of the relaunch of show.

The Friday bash dubbed ‘Music meet Music’ featured the top acts like Tinny, Patapaa, Article Wan, Sister Afia, Ras Kuuku, Daddie Opanka and others.

It marked the return of the highly patronized TV show which used to have Ghana glued to television sets on Saturday nights.

Many underground artistes have often lamented the unavailability of support, especially media exposure but the ‘Music meets Music’ event seemed to be a haven for a lot of them to showcase their talents.

A good part of the show was thus dedicated to the Under-G artistes who took turns to warm up and turn up the thousands of attendees.

First to open the stage was upcoming dancehall artiste Shana who set the tone for the energetic show to set off.

Quamina also brought in some fire from the camp of the Tema-based squad, Ground Up.

When the show finally gained momentum, the Aletse Ogboo, Bard Man Tinny, took his turn to prove that he has still got it. He took the crowd back into time switching from one classic to another.

Queen of rap, Ohemaa Dadao, injected some unparalleled energy into the show with well-laced punchlines and bars – it’s fair to say she was on fire.

Evangelist Aning also made a cameo appearance to spice the show with his controversially viral song ‘Bobolibobo’.

Awal of Talented Kidz fame and recently a runner-up in MTN Hitmaker 2018 took to stage to solidify what he is best known for – rap.

Daddie Opanka, Article Wan and others also brought some light into the show until the leader of the Pa-2-pa soldiers, Patapaa, crystallized the glory of the night.

Amidst some dance moves, the headline artiste held the audience spellbound for as long as he was on stage performing popular songs like ‘Patupa’, ‘One-Corner’, ‘Akwaaba’ and others.
