The atmosphere was filled with fun, music and joy as children were gathered at the Salvation Army Cluster of Schools on the 26th of November to celebrate this year’s Pumpkins Charity Festival.

The festival which was in support of children living with HIV/AIDS was put together by Pumpkins Foundation, a non-governmental organisation with focus on promoting the general wellbeing of poor and needy children in the society; spearhead by one and only Baisiwa Hammond, co-host of GhOne today.

The event which has been running annually for some years has seen cash, gift items given to less privilege children living with HIV/AIDS.

In its plan to take it a step further, Baisiwa and her team did not only make these kids happy but also opened its doors to children at Salvation Army Cluster of Schools and its environs; fed them, and put smiles on their faces, while been entertained by Cartoon, an up and coming artiste.

Speaking to journalists on the purpose of the event, the founder of Pumpkins Foundation, Baisiwa Hammond reiterated her love for children, and most especially the less privilege in the society who are not given much attention to.

“As mothers and citizens of this country, we owe it a duty to make the less privilege feel great and help meet their needs; a need that guarantee them a bright future against all odds. This is why we always seek support, so we could do more, “she explained.

The event was supported by Ghana Education Service, Accra Metro, MTN, Friends of Pumpkins Virginia, USA, Indomie, Swiss Spirit, Tekura and Icecool Purified Water Ltd.
