Ghanaian rapper Lamaj has stated that the reason he entered into music was because of his undying passion for the profession.
The young talent who doubles as a singer and producer believes his passion for music is the only thing that encourages him in his career.
“Music is my passion. I like listening to 2Pac Shakur, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Obrafour and V.I.P among others. Currently, I’m in the studio with Shatta Wale and Joey B, so watch out,” Lamaj stated.
He derives his inspiration from rap legend 2Pac Shakur when it comes to the choice of words for his songs.
According to Lamaj, during his stay in the United Kingdom, he met a famous singer from Sierra Leone called C-Say and formed a group called V.O.W meaning Voices Of Wisdom in 2009. Lamaj and C-Say recorded a single titled ‘Seniorita’ ft. F.O.I, a group managed by V.I.P. Lamaj and C-Say decided to go solo in February 2012.
He raps in Twi, English, Hausa and Chamba and has over 10 singles which features some crème de la crème artistes like Tinny and Joey B.
