Celebrated Ghanaian music producer, Fred Kyei Mensah, popularly known as Fredyma, has expressed disappointment in Ghana’s political leaders for allowing the city of Accra to “continue to experience flooding in this day and age”.

The legendary sound engineer has expressed regret over the loss of more than 100 lives, homes, properties and livelihoods as a result of the floods and the explosion at the Goil fuel station at Kwame Nkrumah Circle on Wednesday, 3 June 2015.

Describing them as short sighted and “visionless” Fredyma who lost all equipment at his Nkrumah Circle studios, said all the leaders after Kwame Nkrumah are to blame for their inactions.

The sound engineer whose studio is some fifty metres away from the Nkrumah Circle, recently recovered from a prolonged illness and fears he may not be able to recover from this loss.

He told Kwaku Obeng Adjei on “The Morning Zoo” Saturday June 6, that Ghana’s development agenda must be revisited.
