Accra, Feb. 25, GNA - A musical night aimed at raising funds in support of the forthcoming 24th General Council of the World Alliance of Reformed Churches (WARC) would be held at the Osu Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Accra on Sunday February 29.
The event, which would feature seasoned gospel groups and bands would also be used to outdoor a joint-standing choir specially trained for the 24th WARC Conference. The conference song and WARC cloth would also be launched as part of the musical night.
A press release signed by the Chairman of the WARC Publicity Committee, Mr. George Martinson said representatives of congregations and districts in the Ga Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) and the West Volta Presbytery of the E. P Church, Ghana, co-hosts of the WARC Conference, would attend the musical night. The 24th General Council of the WARC, dubbed Accra 2004, which is expected to bring together over 1,000 delegates from all over the world would take place at the University of Ghana, Legon and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Legon from July 29 to August 14, 2004.
This is the second time that the highest governing body of the 75 million members WARC family from over 100 countries is meeting in Africa since it was founded in 1875.
