Musicians carry guns to shows due to beefs – Edem reveals

Musician Edem has revealed in an interview how A-List artiste who engages themselves in beef carry registered guns to show for their protection.

Registering his displeasure at the current trend of musicians carrying registered guns to shows, Edem noted that such actions have a tendency to escalate into violence in the music industry.

“Now when we go to shows, musicians are strapped with guns. At least a team member has a licensed gun. We shouldn’t wait for something bad to happen before we discourage it. I don’t encourage that because I want to be brothers with everyone,” Edem said in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Friday.

It could be recalled that Stonebwoy during his banter with Zylofon Media, Bulldog and his macho men stormed where Stonebwoy and his crew were having a show(Champs Bar) to forcefully seize Stonebwoy’s, Mercedez Benz.

Stonebwoy reacted by giving warning shots with his personal gun and according to him, “In self Defence”. You can watch that video here.

In this has Edem reacted that it’s not necessary since such beef doesn’t augur well for unity in the industry.

“We should wake up before something happens in this country,” Edem concluded

Edem urged his fellow industry players to avoid lyrical kinds of beef, whether planned or not, to move the industry forward.
