Accra, Mar. 1, GNA - Selassi Atiase, a Ghanaian Musician based in the United States America has urged Ghanaians not to lose hope in the national team, the Black Stars despite their poor performance at the African Cup of Nations in Egypt this year.
He said the Stars need the support of all at this crucial moment and it is therefore especially necessary that Ghanaians encourage them to perform better in the FIFA World Cup tournament in Germany this year. Atiase, a Ghanaian international musician, whose album "Run" was selected by FIFA to promote the World Cup, said the song is dedicated to Ghanaians and especially to the Stars to boost their morale at the World Cup tournament.
"My song is to unite and rejuvenate Ghanaian support for the team even in crucial times during the tournament", he said.
Atiase said his role as a Music-Soccer Ambassador for his motherland is unique and challenging, adding that "I intend to use the opportunity to unite all Ghanaians behind the Black Stars towards attaining our overall National dream and passion".
Alhaji Sidiku Buari, President of Musicians Association of Ghana (MUSIGA) said the album had come at the right time and therefore advised all music lovers to ensure they purchase a copy to support the Stars. He commended Selassi on his achievement and urged Ghanaian musicians in the Diaspora to emulate his effort to promote the Black Stars on the International market.
He also advised the musicians to contribute their quota to MUSIGA to enable the association support the young and up coming musicians.
