Ramsey Twumasi Addison
Reggae radio presenter Ramsey Twumasi Addison popularly known as Ramsey may soon incur the wrath of colleague reggae presenters and hosts in the Ashanti Region as he has in an unconventional way announced his come back to radio in Kumasi.
The presenter who until November 2015 worked with Ejisu based Metro FM in a post on Facebook disclosed his hiatus seemed to have caused some redundancy among colleague presenters who worked with the same genre. According to him, monitoring various presenters and hosts of reggae shows for the past seven months only proved one thing, that, they were not evolving, “same playlists, same intro,same thing always”.
This, he believes is as a result of the fact that they (other reggae presenters)tried copying his style when he was loud on radio and had no one to learn from during his hiatus.

“MY ABSENCE HAS CREATED, A HUGE VACUUM IN RADIO REGGAE PROGRAMS IN KUMASI.
I’ve sat back home, for about 7 months, not because, no radio station is willing to work with me but, I have my reasons.
People will say “I Talk Too Much”, but they are entitled to their opinions. I’ve stayed back, and listened to almost every Radio Station that has Reggae Program and my observations are, I will not call the DJs or the HOST’S as “LAZY or NO RESEARCH”, but same Playlists, Same Intro, Same thing always on Radio.
But I understand them, maybe they tried copying my style of play when I was in the game by monitoring, and how I used to speak the Patois Language (Jamaican Language) sometimes, so my absence has made them “HOLLOW”, because they have nothing to learn from anyone.
I WILL SOON BE BACK ON RADIO, AND BRING THEM SOMETHING NEW AND FRESH TO LEARN.
