My artiste never received money for a show and failed to show up – Anita Afriyie’s manager

Daniel Kwabena Osei Jnr, husband and producer of Ghanaian gospel musician, Anita Afriyie has debunked rumours that he defrauded a music promoter to the tune of GH¢2,000.00 as performance fee.

The producer popularly known as DanKay told Kasapafmonline.com that he has never met the said music promoter who claimed he (DanKay) received the amount or signed any agreement with him as being stated.

According to the manager, Anita Afriyie attended all shows she was booked for, to perform during the festive seasons. He noted that such claims are baseless and only fabricated to defame his artiste’s reputation.

“If you claim you’ve booked an artiste and she didn’t show up then the best place to go is the court and not radio. I haven’t received any money from any music promoter on behalf of Anita to perform at a show.” DanKay noted that several event organizers use Anita’s picture on their posters to draw crowd to their events without the management’s concern.

Ghanaian Music promoter named Nana Kwame Twumasi claims that gospel musician Anita Afriyie has defrauded him to the tune of two thousand Ghana cedis (GHc 2000.00).

According to the promoter, the ‘Adeshye Mogya’ hit singer after receiving the said amount to perform at a gospel rock show failed to turn-up for the event at Nkoranza and Techiman respectively.

In an interview with Okay FM, the promoter disclosed that he sent her (Anita) the two thousand cedis through mobile money to her manager which she (Anita Afriyie) confirmed receiving.
