Ghanaian stand-up comedian and stage drama actor, Foster Amponsah, popularly known as Foster Romanus, has hit back at his critics, arguing that his “comedy is not monotonous.”
Speaking in an interview with blagogee.com, the 1021 Laughs and Music comedian stressed: “My jokes are not monotonous; my comedy is related to everyday life and also what happens in our day-to-day activities we find ourselves in.”
He asserted that comedy in Ghana is here to stay and “we in the comedy industry must do more so that our comedy will reach its level.”
When asked his expectations of this year’s 1021 Laugh and Music, he asserted that it would be great.
This year’s 1021 Laugh and Music will also see Khemikal whom Foster believes would live up to expectation.
“Khemikal is a great comedian and will deliver as always. It’s not his first time.
“…he has been in the game for some time now and it’s just one of those performances of him,” he said.
The 1021 Laugh and Music will have dense comedians billed from Nigeria and Ghana with Bisa Kdei and Becca to perform live at the event.
