My energy is fully back after a period of self-discovery – Adina

Award-winning Ghanaian singer, Adina Thembi, has opened up about her recent low visibility in the music scene, revealing that she took time off to rediscover herself and regain her strength.

Speaking in an interview on MX24 on March 3, 2026, Adina explained that although she released some projects during that period, the momentum was not as strong as it used to be.

“I did release some projects, but I guess the momentum wasn’t there like it used to be. People picked it up and started questioning what’s going on with me and where I am, which I understand,” she said.

According to her, the period was one of deep personal reflection and self-discovery.

“All through the period that I was releasing projects, I was also going through the process of self-discovery, finding myself again, and charging up. The industry turns to drain you sometimes,” she stated.

Adina noted that stepping back was necessary to refresh and recover mentally and emotionally.

“I just felt like all those times that I stole myself away to like refresh and recuperate because right now, the energy is back fully,” she added.
