Ghanaian actor and politician, John Dumelo, has revealed that growing up, his mother was rooting for him to become a Catholic Priest.
He made this revelation during an interview with Rev. Erskine on the Y-Leaderboard Series, which airs on Y107.9FM.
Mr. Dumelo disclosed that as a Catholic, Sunday Mass was nothing to joke with, and at a point in time, he was even a mass server at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Tema.
“I used to serve mass and at a point, I think my mother even wanted me to be a Reverend Father but that calling, I beat am. When you serve mass well, they’ll probably tell you to go to Pope John Senior High School and continue to the seminary and so on but nah”, he said in total portrayal that it just wasn’t his thing.
John Dumelo stated that he did enjoy serving mass all those years back in Tema, but now he’s a grown man and he cannot serve mass anymore.
“Now I grow so I no go fit serve mass but it was a beautiful experience”, he asserted in pidgin.
