The newest and the biggest thing that has happened to the gospel music industry in Ghana for 2014 is the inception and introduction of the versatile, phenomenon, anointed and glorious Da Prince and his 12 track album titled ‘East To West’.
Da Prince’s songs talk about the faithfulness of God and the reason why Christians should give thanks to God as long as they live on this earth, and also sacrifice for one another.
He told BEATWAVES in a chat that his yet-to-be released album is a great delight to listen to as the lyrics focus on the teachings of Christ.
His album is a culmination of his years of re-examining his spirituality and deepening his resolve to impact people’s lives and pursue the work of God with his music as well as other projects he is set to embark on in the coming months.
Da Prince, known in private life as Solomon Leonard Baidoo, is an apostle and a pastor at the Zion Princes Church, Tabora-Accra and the president of Trustees Media Production, a record label.
The dashing gospel artiste, according to his manager, Kojo Preko Dankwa, is optimistic that the new inspirational album to be released soon would shoot his image into the international gospel music arena and give him the needed recognition to evangelize the word of God through his songs.
The lyrics of the album and Prince’s good vocal power are neatly arranged with sensational and inspirational rhythms, making the album unique. With a staggering powerful and sensitive voice and an inspired writer’s hand in music and words, he would soon become one of Ghana gospel’s most talked-about talents across the world and as ministered at various churches across the country.
“For Prince, it is an honour and privilege to stand and lead God’s children in the art of spiritual intimacy in all genres. He understands that worship is what brings the overwhelming presence of God,” Mr Preko Dankwah noted.
Testimonies of relief and hope follow Prince wherever he ministers. His aim is to make full proof of his ministry as a worship and praise leader.
