Popular broadcast journalist, Gilbert Aggrey otherwise known as Abeiku Santana has advised young talents to be weary of how they share their visions with friends.

Sharing his sorrowful moment as a radio presenter and a family man, Santana said he gets so depressed when he reads false news about him being published in the media.

“The last time I cried was in 2013 when I went through tough times, I was out there in the news news… divorce case and it was published in the news, all sorts of false things were said about me.” Talking about his relationship with his former wife, Abeiku disclosed that they are very close and maintain normal communications.

“My former wife is successfully married in London… We’re very cool and close. She opted for divorce. I’ve never divorced any woman in my life… God bears me witness, I’ve never threatened any woman in my life that I’ll divorce her.” He said he’s learnt a lesson not to be quick in sharing his secrets with friends as his friends whom he shared his sad experiences with turned against him.

“I’ll be careful how I choose my friends and how I share my vision and dreams with friends. I’ve no other regret in life apart from friends. I’m saying this to people out there; be careful who you share your sorrowful moments with especially the ladies. Your friends can use your past deeds to bring you down.” Speaking on the Dentaa Show, Santana recounted his tragic moments when his body guard was shot in the head.

According to him, he was not informed about the death of his bodyguard because he was live on air but he collapsed after he got to know about it after his show on radio.

Sharing other traumatic difficulties in life Abeiku narrated how his daughter, Aba Aggrey died and was also hit by the death of his mother, sister and uncle but as mentor to others, he encouraged himself and moved on in life.

“I can get struck by an unfortunate situation but I’m still strong in the mind. I do cry sometimes when people don’t understand me.

“I’ve done a lot of sacrifice… spiritual when I’ve to put the food aside for days and months for a radio station to become successful and when the station grew, and I become successful and popular, people undermined me, due to anger I’ve to resign from that station.

“Anything I say with my month will happen…It’s a covenant I’ve with God, I don’t curse. Your enemies will say negative things about you and what they say about you are the true reflection of you so take the feedback from your enemies and perfect it.”
