Who claimed Mzbel was finished as far as live musical performance was concerned? Last Saturday, the much- talked about lady hiplife artiste, stormed Takoradi in a whirl wood fashion, though under tight security, to entertain her fans and other music lovers who trooped to the Takoradi Polytechnic auditorium.

Nana Ekuah Amoah, aka Mzbel staged a successful and impressive live musical concert at the Takoradi Polytechnic auditorium, at the launch of Castro?s latest album, Home Coming.

The hottest rising female hiplife superstar managed to score a breakthrough with her stage-craft and dancing skills, with the support from her supporting dancers. It was no surprise when she was invited by Prince Dave Records as the only female artiste to perform for over three thousand fans who have been feverishly waiting in hushed anticipation.

Coming to the harbour city for once, after her nightmarish experience at the hands of armed robbers, Mzbel treated the mammoth crowd to a very lively concert under tight police presence in the crowd, and around the stage.

In many instances, she moved the crowd with her slow but sure dancing steps and swings, as the crowd yelled in excitement.
Dressed to kill, Mzbel was supported by her three cute and pretty lady dancers, who were just a delight to watch.

The show, organised by Prince Dave Records, kicked off in a grand style with performances from artistes like, Kofi Nti, Dr Poh, Castro, and a host of others.

When it got to the turn of Mzbel to peroform, the whole auditorium of T-Poly was on fire, as she performed some of her hit-songs like, 'Yopoo', 'Logoligi' and the chart-busting-dance-to-your-feet song, '16 years'. No one was seen sitting.

All was standing and dancing throughout, and what was racing through the minds of everyone was Mzbel exceptionally sensual (sexy) on stage.

Music fans were seen jumping and dancing when Mzbel performed her hit-song "I be sixteen years, I go dey be like this oh, if you touch my thing oh, I go tell my mummy oh".

The fans started singing the chorus alongside Mzbel, ?Bro Laryea make you no do me so, Bro Laryea make you no mess me up, Bro Laryea oh, Bro Laryea oh?, she went on further saying, ?I be sixteen and I have a long way to go, make you no pull me out, for the last time I dey warn you?.

Apart from Castro?s rap, Mzbel herself also came up with her own style of rap, which could be mistaken for that of Abrewanana.

Opinions about the songs differed, but watching her live performance, listening to the lyrics carefully and the kind of message she was sending to the youth, one would easily be motivated to sing and dance along, making her live musical show more interesting.

Another song which received the attention and approval of the audience was 'Yopoo'.

It was really not easy to get what 'Yopoo' really means, but there was an element of love in the lyrics, as some parts of the song which were sexually evocative, would not be missed by music fans.

Her confidence and enthusiasm on stage compelled some people, among the audience, to question how the ever-growing hiplife songstress could still perform in such a manner, with the armed robbery incident fresh on her mind.
