Ghanaian hiplife singer Belinda Ekuah Amoah, popularly known in the creative arts space as Mzbel, has addressed claims made by Prophet Fire Oja.

In a post shared by Mzbel and sighted by GhanaWeb on January 30, 2026, the musician stated that Prophet Fire Oja’s claim that he was not arrested by the Ghana Police Service is false.

According to Mzbel, Fire Oja was arrested by the police following defamatory statements he allegedly made against her.

“For the avoidance of doubt, it is true that the pastor was formally invited by the police, arrested, and interrogated in connection with the false and damaging statements he made publicly about me.

“During the interrogation process, he admitted that he does not know me personally and acknowledged that his actions were wrong. He has since been charged, and the matter is being processed for court,” she said.

Mzbel further noted that Fire Oja admitted to the allegations levelled against him during police interrogation.

According to the 16 Years singer, Prophet Fire Oja has been charged and is currently being processed for court.

“He was subsequently granted bail to appear in court when scheduled, in accordance with police procedure. Any claim that he was never invited, arrested, or questioned is untrue and misleading.

“I did not take this step out of malice. I acted to protect my name, my integrity, and my mental well-being, just as any citizen has the right to do,” she added.
