NDC members attacked me with knives, vandalized my vehicle - Socrate Safo

Filmmaker Socrate Safo has accused members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of vandalizing his vehicle in Winneba, Central Region.

In a Facebook post, Socrate alleged that he and media personality Ansah Addo Halifax were attacked with knives while in their car.

Although they were unharmed, he reported that their vehicle was damaged.

“NDC supporters just attacked me and Ansah-Addo Halifax with knives and vandalized our car in Winneba for God knows what,” he wrote.

Although it is unclear what prompted the attack, Socrate Safo has long been a vocal supporter of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and has frequently defended the government despite criticisms over economic challenges.

However, in August 2024, he expressed deep frustration regarding what he saw as neglect from the NPP, the party he has supported and campaigned for over many years.

He claimed that the NPP government had been unwilling to address his grievances publicly, choosing instead to remain silent out of loyalty to the party.
