NINO: new kid on the block gears up for album launch

A new kid on the Ghanaian music scene, Agyemang Kofi Offeh, aka Nino, would soon unleash a collection of soul inspiring, heart warming, thrilling, and danceable songs on a album that promises to take this country by storm.

Nino currently has two tracks, Madamfo Pa and Fa no saa, ready to hit the airwaves, and both songs have the master touch of the magic fingers of Morris D Voice, whose mastery in the art is evidenced in uncountable hits from the camp of the Rap Dacta’s One Mike Entertainment among others.

The new kid, Nino, tells Adom Entertainment News his new album, titled ‘Rain n Water’, was well planned and packaged to suit the taste of lovers of all genres of good music, but more specifically, the album houses six genres of music, ranging from palm wine to Opera.

But Nino himself exhibits proficiency in Jazz, R&B, Hip-life, High-life, Acappella, Choral and other music genres on the album and on stage – and he sings proficiently in English, Twi and French.

“With so many people making all sorts of music in Ghana, from Gospel through High-life, Neo-cultural to Hip-life, it is very difficult for the few exceptionally talented ones to get noticed,” said Nino

Nino said he works hard to and that is why his music and stage craft has captured the hearts of the most critical Ghanaian music lovers and enthusiasts.

Listening to one of his two yet to be released singles, one can tell that Nino’s unique and impressive artistic skills make would be the trump card that would make him stand out among the crowd.

Nino tells Adom Entertainment News his love for music captured his heart and mind at a tender age, and it became a hobby that has become a career he is now fully committed to.

His formal artistic education started with the Adventist Prep School Choir, where he distinguished himself as one of the best soloists.

One of the high points of his days at the Junior High School was when he represented of Kumasi in a National Choral Competition in year 2002-2003, and was adjudged the best singer.

Nino has since that time become very vital and a force to reckon with in every choir he joins.

During his Senior High School days at Prempeh College, he was part of a famous Trio on campus, known as Kunta,Tintin, Scobo, aka KTS.

Nino is more than an ordinary musician; he is a learned one, and understands both the performance and business sides the music industry.

He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with majors in Banking and Finance from Valley View University.

While at the Valley View University, he continued his music exploration and education by initiating and co-founding many music groups, all of which chalked successes in their specialized areas.

Nino had an Accapella group and a Minstrel Choir comprising the children of his lecturers, whiles on campus.

His days at VVU were as memorable as today. A Music fan of his commented…”he’s got to perform on bigger a stage like the Ghana Music Awards.”

Nino has endorsements from famous Ghanaians musicians like Morris De Voice, Jay Ghartey, and Kunta Kinte of Bradez fame.

Nino says his name “Nino” means ‘Baby’, but he is more than an ordinary baby – “this is the kid Osibisa foretold”. He hopes to be the next Ghanaian to win a Grammy award.
