Is it true that... A very high ranking official of the National Reconciliation Commission (NRC) in the late 1980s or early 1990s, posing as a real developer, duped a medical officer now working at a private clinic in Accra by collecting US$15,000 from him whilst the medical officer was based in Chicago, USA, under the pretext of building a house for him which he failed to do but rather used the money for his own purposes, that when the medical officer came down to Ghana and realized that he had been swindled, he caused the arrest of this very high ranking official of the NRC, that the very high ranking official of the NRC was kept overnight at the Fifth Battalion of Infantry and on his release was threatened with death but was saved by an Air Force Sergeant, which incident forced the very high official of the NRC to go into hiding and moved from hotel to hotel where he was living, during which period he was once attacked by armed robbers?
