Nana Aba Anamoah chooses Shirley Frimpong-Manso over Hollywood's Tyler Perry

Hollywood movie producer and actor Tyler Perry has been trending on Twitter since the release of his new movie, a 'Fall from Grace'.

The movie pulled a lot of curiosity and excitement among film lovers especially after Mr. Perry boasted about filming the movie in just five days.

Taking to Twitter to share their opinions after watching the much publicised movie, some social media users expressed their disappointment whiles others gave a high score to their favourite movie producer.

According to critics, their expectations were not met. They had hoped for a content that's fresh, exciting and won’t leave you scratching your head but not the usual Perry’s history of making melodramatic features laced with stereotypical tropes about Black women and overly-preachy themes.

It is on this backdrop, that Ghanaian media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah joined the conversation by stating her choice of a movie producer, GhanaWeb monitored.

Miss Anamoah tweeted that she would choose award-winning Ghanaian female movie producer Shirley Frimpong-Manso over the American actor, writer, producer, comedian, and director Tyler Perry.

Though that's her choice, some Ghanaian Twitter users thought other wise.

First of all, Nana Aba, you know nothing about movies. And even if you did, you probably think writing a script is like sitting on TV to read news or host a show. Saying Shirley Manso's movies are greater than Perry's measures your intellectual deficit in movie productions.
