It was a spectacular sight to behold, what at all could have caused such euphoria and ignited such excitement and enthusiasm?

It was a Friday night and the venue was the swish Aphrodisiac Night Club but there was something about this track playing in the background. All I could hear was the thunderous roar of the animated crowd as they chanted along with the song “BABIA AWU”. Watch Aha Yede by Nana Boroo

That was my first time of hearing the track and with that came the birth of a new star, NANA BOROO. After his debut single hit the airwaves the KNUST graduate has enjoyed more then just popularity, he has enjoyed massive love from music lovers across the country.

His seemingly controversial dealings with S.K Blinks who featured on the hit track couldn’t slow him down. He seems to have enjoyed every major show in the country this past year and still enjoys massive airplay all over the country.

Come the 17th of August Nana Boroo is set to exhibit his humanitarian side by making a huge donation to the victims of the Ashaiman flood which occurred some few weeks ago.

In a recent interview he laid out his plans to mark his birthday. “It has been a long time coming and I am glad I finally have a voice by which I can cause a change.

On the 17th, I will make the donations to the flood victims and have my birthday party at Citizen Kofi that night. The birthday celebrations will enter the dawn of the 18th which is the actual birthday.”

Expatiating on the reason for settling into a humanitarian venture on his birthday, Nana Boroo was quick to express the joy he derives from seeing people happy.

“It has always been a part of me, there is that something in me that feels uneasy when people are in siege and are suffering especially when I can be of help. So I thought why not? There is no better way to celebrate my birth than to put a smile on someone’s face and that is why I am doing this”.

Like any other celebrity Boroo didn’t want to disclose his actual age but added that he was in his early 20s. He also mentioned that donations were still undergoing and that everybody could help put a smile on somebody’s face.
