Nana King There are certain moments in life when a particular album just hits you deep down in your body. When the sound wave lengths coming out of your speakers are in sync with the ripples of energy running thru your mind, body and soul, you immediately fall in love with the music. Such is the case with Nana King who is coming out with a new hiphop album titled "Wanted Dead Or Alive".

Nana King has finally decided to go back to his root which is hiphop music. He is out with some banging hiphop tracks that will cause a stir in the music industry.

When Ghana Music.Com asked him why he has decided to be a hiphop artiste in Ghana, he answered by saying ?I was under pressure from my mum who knew about my musical career and always kept calling me and telling me about how 50 cent, Ja Rule, Eminem were making it big in terms of fame and money, and that I should try and also come out and be like them.?

So he started gathering CDs of hiphop artistes like Dr Dre, Jay-Z, Ja Rule, 50 cent, Ludacris and more, and listened to them carefully to make sure his lyrics were correct and perfect for the world wide music market even though he was born and bred in Los Angeles, California.

This "Wanted Dead Or Alive" album is gonna have English tunes which will have tales from the gansta world of love, cheating, 'playa hating' and all that goes in the gansta world. Expect Nana King to unleash some mad beats on the tracks.

Through his record label, Ashanti International, he has allowed different genres like hiphop, hiplife, and highlife to pass thru his camp which has also given birth to a new raglife star, Batman. Other superstars like Ex-Doe, Ekow Shailo, VIP, FOI, Kokovelli, Azigiza, Akyeame and many more have recorded there. Nana King has produced a lot of chart-dominating hit tracks on the Ghanaian music industry.

It?s been a while since Nana hit the music scene with his debut album 'Obaa Paa'. Born to Mr William Konadu and Madam Georgina Konadu, music played an important role in Nana King?s life earlier on at the age of 5 years. As a singer of his parents? church choir, the Los Angeles-California born early musical influences include reggae and hiphop greats such as Super Cat, Dr Dre, Tupac (with whom he?d later also work with), Snoop Dogg and more.

His melodious and musical instrument-playing skills enabled him to make an album for Talah Fatal.

Between 1997 and 2002, Nana King toured some states in the US and Bangkok sponsored by Pepsi. "Ama Serwaa" was supposed to be his first album but Ras Diddy cheated him and came out with his album claiming that it was his. Obaa Paa followed up as his next album and in 1998, the "Champion" sold well because it was promoted by Precise Music.  His "Scary" album came out after he got married to Nana Queen. He also made a London album for the London music industry titled 'Me Sher Mu Hie'.

His new album which is yet to come out I bet you will catapult his career to new heights. The album is being currently wanted by some record labels, the Germans and some of the foreign music industry.

The disc?s 'Wanted Dead Or Alive,' was written and produced by Nana King. A video clip of 'That?s How Love Goes' will be showing on the TV screens very soon. The album is incredible, its simple verses are powerful and catchy.

As long as Nana King has been making music, the journey continues to be exciting for him. "Music has always been a part of my life and my mum has always been supportive in my musical career" he said.

Asked about what he thinks of the hiplife industry, he said that "I wish the artists could do more English tunes but anyway the hiplife industry is growing. I?m trying to bring the English songs into the industry because Reggie Rockstone, George Brun and other music DJs are down with my English tracks.

Ghana Music.Com asked him why Ghanaians should rush for his album and he added that "The album is for my fans and am here to give them quality hiphop music every time they ask. That?s my main goal", was the way he ended the interview.
