Nana Tuffour rocks MTN Music Festival with Okyeame Kwame

Despite his age and “weakness” he never disappoints because of his unforgettable performance anytime he mounts the stage.

Highlife legend, Nana Tuffuor who was billed as one of the performers lined up for the third edition of the MTN Music Festival the biggest “Live” music celebration in Ghana didn’t fail to give patrons a dose of his unconquerable stagecraft.

Nana Tuffour who has crooned his way into the hearts of many Ghanaians, especially women with his sweet and smooth ballads over the years rocked the stage with “Rap Doctor”, Okyeame Kwame at this year’s MTN Music Festival.

Dressed in a blue black Kaftan with a touch of Gold Chain necklace, Nana Tuffour and his “kid” Okyeame Kwame were simply in their elements on the night. They each took turns to ‘rock’ the hundreds of music lovers who turned up for the event.

The two performed the famous heartbreak song “Me yere Dada”, by Nana Tuffour and other songs from the “Made in Ghana ambassador” Okyeame Kwame.

The “Odo Kakra, Sika Kakra” hitmaker was born on Valentine’s Day 1954 and spent his childhood in a home full of love in Kumasi, Ghana.

In 1979 Nana Tuffour released his first album “Highlife Romance” and has since released twelve other hit albums. He has won many excellence awards and his last album, Abeiku was notoriously popular among the old and the young.

Artistes who supported Nana Tuffour on the night were young talented musicians like Angela hitmaker, Kuami Eugene; award winning female vocalist, Adina, sensational singer, King Promise Armah Pino, Okyeame Kuami, Bright of Buk Bak fame.



The historical musical concert was held at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).

MTN Music Festival was organized in partnership with Mark Okraku’s Slip Entertainment to celebrate and express the cultural heritage of Ghana through Music, Dance and Poetry.

This edition dubbed the “Farmers Day Edition” was held to climax to the Farmers Day celebration.
