National Theatre tags May for entertainment month

The National Theatre of Ghana on Tuesday tagged May as an Entertainment Month with series of events been lined up at the Theatre for its patrons.

The National Theatre Entertainment Month, begins on May 2 with a repacked “Talk Party Show” that will serve as an exciting poetry platform for both young and veteran Poets to exhibit their poetic artistry.

Naa Agyeman, the Highlife musician will be backed by the versatile Ghana Police Band on Highlife Time Show on May 3rd, to link the modern and the olden day musical rhythm, whilst opening up the dance floor for chorographic movements the body.

Mr Ako Tetteh, Public Relations of the Officer of the National Theatre told the Ghana News Agency that on May 12, the evergreen Concert Party show would also take the central stage with reloaded performances.

The reloaded Concert Party show involves stand-up comedy, music, dance and drama.

The May Entertainment Month will hit its climax on May 29th with a rejuvenated “Wednesday Theatre,” one of the newly introduced shows produced by the National Theatre.

The Wednesday Theatre event which provides free entertainment and comedy mixed with musical performance will also serves as a platform to unearth talents.

The May Entertainment Month would come to a close on May 30th with a Film Show.
