National Theatre to host ‘Still A Rose’ on March 28th

The National Theatre will on Thursday 28th March host Still A Rose, a stage production written and directed by Theophilus Halm, on Easter Friday's eve.

Still a rose is a play of contemporary family. It is vibrant, entertaining, inspiring and a family play that carries with it a positive message of forgiveness, love and a second chance.

The play tells a story of the process of restoration a well to do corporate man goes through to have his nuclear family back, after a grave misdeed nearly cost’s him his family but for the grace of God and his genuine resolute repentance.

It throws light on the family as a key foundation that continues to shape our contemporary reality in society and business.

A text message that Nellie inadvertently sees on her husband’s phone pushes her over the edge and she leaves home. Mr. Kofi Rhose is a corporate man and a leader in his church, but an extra-marital affair threatens to break his home apart.

Mr. Koomson, Kofi’s colleague at work and confidante, is the mastermind behind Kofi’s troubles, upset and green with envy that Kofi was promoted before him. Alice, Kofi’s elder daughter, runs away from home to find her mother but ends up on the streets. Trusting God for guidance and mental strength, can Kofi fix his family? He genuinely decides to seek God’s forgiveness but will his repentance be enough for a second chance?

Still A Rose is a story of how restoration, family life, values and beliefs are knit together in the realities of our contemporary lives. The play is running originally composed hit songs, meticulously arranged choreography and inspiring dialogue that will dazzle and touch the heart of our audience.

The play features Edmond Ofoli Onyame, Bernice Abu-BAidoo, Linda Baffour Awuah, Abdul- Rashid Sakara Kelly, Antonio Silva Josiah and Hajara Nakkudu as cast some of whom have wealth of acting experience.
