National Theatre to trumpet Ghanaian culture in June

The National Theatre of Ghana on Monday unveiled a series of activities for June, which has been tagged Ghanaian Culture projection month.

The theatre has therefore lined up series of entertainment and cultural events to mark the month, Ms Amy Appiah Frimpong, Executive Director of the National Theatre, told the Ghana News Agency that “as a country, we need to constantly project our cultural identity”.

The National Theatre Cultural Month begins on Thursday June 6, with a repacked “Talk Party Show” that will serve as an exciting cultural platform to exhibit poetry for both young and veteran Poets to exhibit their poetic artistry.

Funworld, a children and student show, is scheduled for Sunday June 16 and re-energized Concert Party which is an Akan based variety entertainment show, involves stand-up comedy, music, dance and drama will be on June 23.

The National Theatre Cultural Entertainment Month continues with Wednesday Theatre on June 26. There is a Film show titled “Three Idiots and a Wiseman on June 27; and Comedy Series on June 28.
