Ghanaian music sensation Black Sherif has opened up about his personal journey and the message behind his latest track, 'Kilos Milos'.

Speaking in an interview with Joy News, the 'Second Sermon' hitmaker shared that 'Kilos Milos' is an anthem of resilience and self-identity.

The 22-year-old artiste said the song was a reflection of the rapid changes and experiences he has encountered since his high school days.

"'Kilos Milos' talks about not forgetting who you are. I'm 22 years old, and just four years after high school, I've seen and done a lot.

"Sometimes you go through stuff and it seems you might not make a comeback from it, but then you do. I want you to remember that you should never forget who you are and it's not just me," he said.

He acknowledges that his life and art serve as a source of inspiration for many and that this sense of responsibility fuels his creative process.

"Because I'm not just a single entity, some people draw inspiration from me. I'm privileged to see that and absorb that energy, turning it into inspiration and stories to help me make music," he noted.

Released on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, 'Kilos Milos' shot to the top of the Apple Music top 100 Ghana chart barely 24 hours after its release.

The song has sent waves of excitement through Black Sherif's fanbase and follows the success of his previous hit title, 'Shut Up', which became a street anthem.
