Nigerian singer-songwriter Chidinma Ekile popularly known as Chidinma has advised men not to beat their partners.

The season 3 winner of MTN Project Fame West Africa in a conversation with Amanda Jissih, host of GhOne’s E-Talk show said there are scores of ways of disciplining your partner when she does something wrong.

“There is nothing that a woman will do that will make you raise your hand” Chidinma said.

Sharing more on ‘Abusive Relationship’ with Amanda Jissih, she continued that “there is this particular thing that you will do that will pain her more than beatings.”

“When you don’t come home, when you don’t even touch her food, you don’t know the amount of pain she will go through because she might have gone out of her way to do all those things that you’ve denied.”

“You can call her and talk over things but not to raise your hands on her,” Chidinma further counseled ladies to walk out of abusive relationships because such relationships will not end them good.

“If you love your life, walk out. The most painful thing is, they will come and beg but they will repeat same thing few days after.

“A broken relationship is better than a broken marriage so now that you are seeing the signs in a relationship, you should know that your marriage will be like hell”.

Chidinma is known for her hit songs like "Emi Ni Baller", "Kedike" and others. Chidinma in 2012 won the Best Female West African Act category at the 2012 Kora Awards.
