Kumawood actor, Sylvester Agyapong has lambasted authorities in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and the ruling NPP government for the continuous hardships they inflict on the people in the Ashanti Regional capital anytime they take over power.
Speaking with Zionfelix on the ‘Uncut’ show, the actor made the point that the Kumasi branch of the Electricity Company of Ghana is currently changing electric meters in Kumasi even though this action is not being carried out in the other regions of the country. He added that these new meters they are gradually introducing in Kumasi are causing a lot of headache for them.
The ‘Abusuyefo’ actor stated that he had to buy and drink very warm water recently even though he had the desire to drink a chilled one. When he asked why it was so, the trader he bought the water from complained that she has for some time now always put off her refrigerator because she cannot pay the high cost of bills ECG brings to her each month after the introduction of the new meters.
Sly ended by sending out a caution to the President Akuffo-Addo led government and the Ashanti regional minister to make sure they as a matter of urgency halt the implementation of this decision because it is one that is only in the Ashanti region. He also added that they should not take the people of the Ashanti region for granted because they know that no matter what will happen, they will vote for them.
