The shocking demise of Bettie Jenifer who was known to be the wife of Ghanaian actor Chris Attoh has led to the emergence of equally shocking facts about her marriage life – she was married to another man Kedrick Jenifer!
What is more intriguing is that Kedrick and Bettie were battling in court. He had filed for “absolute divorce” and was seeking some relieves from the Circuit Court of Prince George’s Country – Civil System.
According to a document sighted by JiveNaija.com, the case was filed on April 4, 2019. There was also a motion from the counsel of Kedrick for Beetie to “account for assets” and “for an injunction to prevent dissipation of assets”.
It is on record that the summons had been issued to Bettie.
Meanwhile a screenshot of a conversation which ensued between two unknown persons regarding the controversy surrounding Bettie’s death has been in circulation on various social media platforms.
According to the informant, Kedrick who is in jail over drug-related issues, threatened Bettie after seeing photographs she had taken with Chris Attoh.
The threats sent shivers down Bettie’s spine as she quickly informed the actor, leading to the deletion of all their photographs on Instagram to create the impression they had divorced.
“Chris marry the girl. The girl no tell am say she was married” the chat read. “Her husband de jail for here. Brutal drug delear. So as the pictures hit Instagram, the guy send threats. So she told him make he commot the pics so that stories will start spreading that they break up.”
Chris Attoh’s cryptic message 30 minutes after Bettie was shot
The actor tweeted a cryptic message about loyalty and infidelity just thirty minutes after his wife Bettie Jenifer was shot.
“When it comes to relationships, remaining faithful is never an option but a priority. Loyalty is ever…” his tweet read.
Although the statement is ambiguous, people pointed accusing fingers at him as they argued he masterminded the act.
How Bettie was murdered
Bettie was shot dead while leaving her office in Maryland in the United States of America.
She was shot in the head by the gunman on Friday evening around 5pm and was pronounced dead when police arrived at the scene of the crime.
Bettie Jenifer, according to the report left the office in the 6300 block of Ivy Lane and was walking to her car when a man armed with a handgun approached her.
When she tried to run away, the man followed her and fired at her multiple times, with at least one shot hitting her.
The gunman then fled in a vehicle and is still wanted by the Maryland Police.
Police described the suspect as “a black male with a thin build and black hair, wearing a dark shirt and pants.”
Chris Attoh married Bettie on October 6, 2018 after the Ghanaian actor’s marriage with Nollywood star Damilola Adegbite crashed.
