Accra, Aug. 30, GNA - A new television drama and talk show series,

"Eyes of the Flirt" to supplement the dissemination of information in the country, was launched at GAMA Film Theatre in Accra at the week-end.

Mr Prince Mac Manu, Chief Executive Officer of Quick Multimedia Consult, producers of the series, said it was developed to portray the numerous vices

and corrupt behaviour of leaders and the youth in society.

He noted that it was disheartening to appreciate the success of campaigns but could not impact positively on people in deprived communities in the country.

Mr Mohammed Saani, Assistant Director, Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs (MOWAC), in an address on behalf of the Sector Minister, said the Ghanaian society had been influenced by foreign culture and vices alien to Ghanaian cultural practices.

"These are due to blind copying of alien and immoral cultures, poverty, lack of parental discipline, abandoning religious values and obscenity in both the mass media, "he added.

Miss Rejoice Dankwa, Assistant Director, Ministry of Environment Science and Technology (MEST), urged the youth to learn to live in harmony and conform to good counsel as future leaders of the country.

She said the youth must trust and seek God's guidance in their endeavours, while religious leaders impart on them practicable teachings, and principles on morality and good lifestyles.

Mr Manu appealed to stakeholders to collaborate with the producers to support the initiative aimed at confronting issues that were likely to tarnish the country's image.
