Nii Hammond slams Mr. Eazi's manager

The Board Chairman and Public Relations Officer of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs), Nii Aryeetey Hammond has descended heavily on manager of Nigerian artiste and songwriter, Mr Eazi.

His comments comes after the artiste's manager, Bernard Kafui, aka Mr Meister took to his twitter handle to throw some shots at Charterhouse, the organisers of the awards.

According to Bernard, since Mr Eazi refused to perform for free, the African artiste of the year award was given to another person.

But speaking in an interview with host of Sikka FM's entertainment programme Flavour Zone, Tony Montana, the public relations officer described the manager's comments as cancerous and an act of ignorance.

"Please I don't respond to ignorant people who write ignorantly on social media...nobody advertised anywhere that Mr Eazi would perform tonight and even if you're nominated that doesn't guarantee you'll perform on the show",he said.

“The only non-Ghanaian artiste we placed an advertisement was Runtown and if anybody could show me one advertisement which indicated Mr Eazi would be perform that night, that would be helpful", he added.

One great observation is that the African artiste to perform at the VGMAs night eventually wins the African artiste of the year award and to this end since Runtown,"the mad over you" hitmaker performed that night it meant that he would be taking the award home.
